8th Grade Band

8th Grade Band is an advanced ensemble that builds upon the foundational skills learned in previous years. Students focus on further upper-level ensemble skills, such as advanced rhythm, sight-reading, and playing with a nuanced tone. The curriculum involves exploring more difficult and diverse literature, including a wider range of musical styles and periods to challenge their technical abilities and musicality. This ensemble is designed to ensure they have the necessary skills and confidence to transition smoothly into High School Band - a more rigorous, fast-paced, and demanding musical environment.
