7th Grade Band

7th Grade Band is designed for students who are continuing to build on their instrument fundamentals while taking a deeper dive into the world of ensemble performance. This course focuses on refining the basic skills learned in beginning band, with an emphasis on producing a characteristic ensemble tone and balance, improving intonation, and developing technical proficiency on their respective instruments.

Students in 7th Grade Band will also explore more advanced ensemble fundamentals, including complex rhythms, dynamic contrast, and musical phrasing. They will learn to listen critically to their fellow musicians and work collaboratively to achieve a cohesive and expressive performance. The curriculum includes a variety of musical styles and genres, exposing students to a diverse range of repertoire. Through daily rehearsals and regular performances, students will gain confidence in their musical abilities and deepen their appreciation for the art of making music together.
